What is Acerola?

Acerola is a fruit of Amazonian origin that can be found in tropical areas of America. Known for its high Vitamin C content (about 40%), it is also rich in Vitamin A B1 and B2 as well as Carotenoids and Flavonoids.

100 grams of Acerola contains about 1700 mg of Vitamin C.

Who are the producers?

The Asociación de Mujeres Exitosas de Pedernal is a group of women heads of household and housewives from the beautiful region of Pedernal de Puriscal, who have found in acerola a source of income for their homes. Together they have joined forces to develop their own processing plant, making delicious pulp, jams and soft drinks from this unique fruit.
