This Monday, the President of the Republic, Carlos Alvarado and the Minister of Public Works and Transport (MOPT), Rodolfo Méndez Mata, virtually gave the order for the commissioning of the new viaduct in Social Guarantees, a work that will come to streamline vehicular flow at this point on the Circunvalación road.
Abiding by the sanitary provisions against COVID-19 and taking advantage of the benefits of new technologies, from his office Alvarado in the Presidential House he knew first-hand the details of the conclusion of this important project, which was explained by Méndez Mata, who was in his house of habitation.
That was how, through a video call, they gave the starting signal for the executive director of the National Road Council (CONAVI), Mario Rodríguez, to inaugurate the work, while crossing the new viaduct that has a length of 864 meters.
MOPT Minister Rodolfo Méndez Mata said that the commissioning of this work marks the beginning of a series of transformations that will change the mobility of Costa Ricans. He acknowledged that the work “has been carried out with excellent programming and compliance with the standards and specifications established for it.”
Alejandro Rossi, director of UNOPS in Costa Rica, highlighted the satisfaction of completing a work of this caliber within the expected time frame, with innovation in design, efficiency and construction quality.
