Summary of the Covid Status in Costa Rica from December 19 to 23.

The country registered 1,019 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, December 19, 767 cases on Sunday, December 20, 635 cases on Monday, December 21, 911 on Tuesday, December 22, and 1138 today, Wednesday, December 23, reaching a total of 161,942 confirmed COVID-19 cases.

Of the cases registered on Saturday, 206 were by epidemiological link and 813 by laboratory. In the case of Sunday, 63 are by link and 704 by laboratory, on Monday 68 are by epidemiological link and 567 by laboratory, on Tuesday 220 are by epidemiological link and 691 by laboratory. For this Wednesday 247 are by epidemiological link and 891 by laboratory.

In total we have 79,161 women and 82,781 men, of whom 140,448 are Costa Rican and 21,494 are foreigners.

By age we have: 136,836 adults, 11,726 older adults and 13,277 minors, 103 are under investigation.

128,216 recovered persons are counted, of which 62,607 are women and 65,609 are men, by age we have: 109,492 adults, 7,819 older adults, 10,807 minors and 98 are under investigation.

634 people are hospitalized, 239 of them in intensive care with an age range of zero to 90 years.

On Saturday 15 unfortunate deaths were reported, on Sunday 12, on Monday there are 14, on Tuesday there are 14 deaths and today Wednesday 14 deaths are also reported, reaching a total of 2,065 deaths related to COVID-19: 778 women and 1,287 men, with an age range of nine to 101 years. By age there are 648 adults, 1,415 older adults and two minors.
