The country registered 1,063 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, January 13, 1,086 on Thursday, January 14, and 945 cases today, Friday, January 15, reaching a total of 184,187 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
Of the cases registered on Wednesday, 203 were by epidemiological link and 860 by laboratory, on Thursday 302 were by epidemiological link and 784 by laboratory. For this Friday 256 are by epidemiological link and 689 by laboratory.
In total we have 90,597 women and 93,590 men, of which 161,070 are Costa Rican and 23,117 are foreigners. By age we have: 155,415 adults, 13,650 older adults and 15,005 minors, 117 are under investigation.
141,374 recovered people were counted, of which 69,314 are women and 72,060 are men, by age we have: 120,650 adults, 8,756 older adults, 11,858 minors and 110 are under investigation.
558 people are hospitalized, 245 of them in intensive care with an age range of 12 to 93 years.
On Wednesday 17 unfortunate deaths were reported, on Thursday 17, and today Friday 15 deaths are registered, reaching a total of 2,416 deaths related to COVID-19: 907 women and 1,509 men, with an age range of two to 101 years. By age there are 748 adults, 1,664 older adults and four minors.
