Au 16 juillet, le pays enregistrait 560 nouveaux cas de COVID-19, pour un total de 9546 cas confirmés, avec une tranche d’âge de zéro à 99 ans. Il y a 4 126 femmes et 5 420 hommes, dont 6 750 costariciens et 2 796 étrangers.
Les cas positifs sont recensés dans 81 cantons. Par âge, nous avons: 7766 adultes, 483 personnes âgées et 1200 mineurs, 97 sont sous enquête.
2673 recovered people are registered in 79 cantons. The recovered cases have an age range of zero to 94 years, of which 1174 are women and 1499 are men, by age we have: 2088 adults, 120 older adults, 402 minors and 63 are under investigation.
207 people are hospitalized, 35 of them in intensive care with an age range of zero to 78 years.
There are 42 regrettable deaths, 17 women and 25 men with an age range of 26 to 94 years.
The most recent deaths were recorded yesterday afternoon. The first of them is a 77-year-old Costa Rican woman who lives in Puntarenas. The woman was admitted to the San Juan de Dios Hospital, being diagnosed with COVID-19 on July 15, the same day that she died. She suffered from skin cancer, multiple myeloma, and cardiac arrhythmia.
The second death is registered in the Calderón Guardia Hospital, and the family is in the process of being notified.
