The President of the Republic, Carlos Alvarado Quesada and the President of the Legislative Power, Eduardo Cruickshank Smith, convened this Friday, October 23, a first working session for a multisectoral dialogue in the central building of the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) at 8:30 am
In the note sent to about 70 organizations from 9 sectors, both presidents of the Supreme Powers, they indicate that the objective of the meeting is to “rethink, and start working together, the mechanisms that will guide the presentation and analysis of proposals on growth economic, job creation and for the sustainability of public finances ”.
In addition, the letter explains that in the work session the participants will be able to provide their methodological contributions to raise the rules of interaction, and the mechanisms for the analysis of the proposals. The foregoing, without losing the sense of urgency that will guide the work during the coming weeks to specify the proposals that our population and our economy soon need.
“Costa Rica requires that we return to the Costa Rican tradition of finding solutions to great national challenges through dialogue and institutionality. Maintaining our social peace and solving structural problems of our development such as poverty and inequality demand immediate responses on issues of economic growth, job creation and the sustainability of public finances. These last areas show a strong impact caused by COVID-19, and its approach can only be achieved through sincere dialogue and collective construction between social, business and political actors, ”explained the Presidents of the Executive and Legislative Power, in the letter of convocation.
Participation in the space must be equal, in addition, a titular person and another substitute must be assigned (in case of absence or illness of the owner). Confirmation of participation will close on Thursday, October 22 at 12:00 p.m.
