Since midnight this Wednesday, only Costa Ricans and residents are authorized to enter the country, who must remain in quarantine for 14 days. The measure will last until April 12.

Freight forwarders can also enter national soil without any problem as long as they comply with the requirements of the Law.

The Deputy Minister of Public Security, Eduardo Solano Solano, who traveled to the area, mentioned that “road and police controls are established in Cañas Gordas, Valle Azul, Sabalito, Agua Buena, Abrojo and other important points that communicate with Panama” , where there is a curfew from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Another border post in San Vito, Coto Brus canton, remains alert to new measures implemented.

The Police will keep constantly on going through different points of the border cordon to verify that the provisions of the executive decree are complied with.
