Gradual opening

The responsibility of respecting the guidelines and applying the protocols that will be developed will lie with the administrating organizations of each public outdoor space, including those that have perimeter enclosure (municipalities, development associations, and facilities administered by the cantonal sports committees).

This was pointed out by Alexander Solís Delgado, president of the National Commission for Risk Prevention and Attention to Emergencies, emphasizing that the Municipal Emergency Committees (CME) will carry out an analysis and make recommendations on the gradual opening process, evaluating the conditions of the different types of public space and the assessment of the particular circumstances of each canton. The different institutions that make up the CME will support, according to their competences, the process of opening, monitoring and surveillance ”, he indicated.

Measures to comply

The gradual opening depends, within the framework of the implementation of the Shared Management Model “Costa Rica works and takes care of itself”, on the following conditions: the risk assessment according to the type of public space, the epidemiological context of each territory determined by the Cantonal Risk Index (IRC) and the alert that is in force, the application of the guideline and a sector protocol.
