The country registered 1,051 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, October 11 and 733 cases today, Monday, October 12, reaching a total of 89,223 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
Of the cases registered on Sunday, 114 were by epidemiological link and 937 by laboratory. In the case of Monday, 87 are by epidemiological link and 646 by laboratory.
In total we have 42,892 women and 46,331 men, of which 74,069 are Costa Rican and 15,154 are foreigners.
By age we have: 75,766 adults, 6,054 older adults and 7,317 minors, 86 are under investigation.
There are 53,247 recovered persons, of which 25,400 are women and 27,847 are men. By age we have: 45,578 adults, 3,001 older adults, 4,597 minors and 71 are under investigation.
572 people are hospitalized, 185 of them in intensive care with an age range of 1 to 89 years.
On Sunday, 14 regrettable deaths were reported and today 18 are reported, reaching a total of 1,108 deaths related to COVID-19: 411 women and 697 men, with an age range of 18 to 100 years. By age there are 368 adults and 740 older adults.
