And so every party needs a soul. And that where Darin Talbot enters the scene.
It all began in 1999 when Darin Talbot’s song “Tweeker Shred Master” from his debut CD “MUSIC FLIGHT” won BEST NEW SONG honors at the first online music festival; this secured Talbot an invitation to hang with Hef, perform at the PLAYBOY MANSION and open for THE BRIAN SETZER ORCHESTRA.That same summer Bill Graham Presents tapped Talbot to open on the small stage for THE BEACH BOYS at Sacramento Valley Amphitheatre. In 2001, Darin released “TAHOE BACKCOUNTRY”. This disc aired nationally on Radio Disney, Dr. Demento and on the All Star Radio Network. Talbot was voted Lake Tahoe ACTION’s * BEST LOCAL MUSICIAN * for two consecutive years in a row.

In 2006, Warren Miller Films tapped Talbot’s ska version of ‘Tweeker Shred Master’ for use in the ski and snowboard film titled OFF THE GRID. In 2008, Darin released his award winning “AROUND TAHOE” self guided tour that works in real time as one drives around Lake Tahoe www.aroundtahoe.com.
