MAG calls for maintaining pandemic protocols during Farmer’s Fairs

The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAG) called on citizens to buy at farmers’ fairs that resume this weekend, instructing administrators, vendors, and consumers to abide by the measures issued by the Ministry of Health to prevent transmission of the coronavirus COVID-19.

“We urge people who attend these markets to respect and strictly adhere to the guidelines established by the health authorities,” said the minister of this portfolio, Renato Alvarado, while urging to strengthen protocols to mitigate and prevent the virus.

Among the measures in force for the fairs are:

  • The Ministry of Health recommends that people with pre-existing risk factors, including elderly, hypertensive, cardiac, diabetic, do not attend purchases.
  • It is recommended that purchases be made by a single person from the family nucleus.
  • Consumers are asked to refrain from going to the fair if they develop symptoms such as fever, cough, nasal congestion, sore throat; and abide by the protocol of sneezing and coughing, that is, covering yourself with a disposable tissue, then throwing it away, or covering yourself with the inside of your forearm. for the fairs the following stand out:
