The Executive President of the CCSS Román Macaya, referred to the delicate and worrying trend of saturation in intensive care beds in different medical centers.
Mayaca explained the worrying trend of growth and occupation of intensive care beds, since the beginning of the pandemic more than 6 months ago the CCSS was given the task of considerably increasing the capacity of intensive care of the institution.
He also explained how the CCSS has managed to increase and receive more than 200 ventilators, which are the last resort to sustain life for the people most seriously affected by the virus.
He also referred to what was said by the president of the republic minutes before. Saying that lowering the contagion curve can be done through the imposition of restrictive measures or through the collaboration of the population. And on that, he called on Costa Ricans to “take out the caste” not only to show the world their discipline but also as an act of solidarity for our compatriots.
