[:en]One of the most highly anticipated events for the people of San José is almost here. The Festival Transitarte brings culture, art, music, dance and theatre to the San José. The festival is organise by the Municipality of San José. And has become one of the most expected events of the summer. Receiving thousands of people every year since 2004.
The festival takes places in the parks located North East side of San José. Those are parks Morazán, Jardín de Paz, Parque España and Parque Nacional. There will also been some activities in the Metallic Building (School Buenaventura Corrales), El paseo de Damos and the Train Station to the Atlantic.
This year the festival will start the 16th of March and finish the 18th of March. The activities booked are schedule for 12 continuous hours per day. Starting at 10:00am and finishing at 10:00pm. This year as years past. The public could enjoy different areas as: The literary alley, The gastronomic alley, Food Trucks, Craft men and other Costa Rican products, amateur boxing, and stages dedicated for concerts. Plus workshops for all ages open to the public. Dedicated to the arts. How to enjoy it, learn them and executed them. The Transitarte is a familiar activity that renews the areas of the city destine for enjoyment. Rescue them from the usual rush of the city.
Among the artist to play live during the event are: El Parque, Pedro Capmany, Mechas, Percance, Julio Nájera, Miriam jarquin, Jorge Rodríguez, Red Nacional de Copleros, Trío de Calypso, Auténticos por siempre, Luís Angel Castro, Jaguar Acústico, Pato Barraza y Javier Arce.
