The Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS) awarded this Wednesday the purchase of the charter air cargo transport service to the company DHL Global Forwarding Costa Rica to bring the personal protection supplies donated by the government of the People’s Republic of China, reported the executive president of the CCSS, doctor Román Macaya Hayes.
The amount of the contract is for 1.2 million dollars, which includes a load of 570 cubic meters of supplies with 100,000 disposable gowns, 10,000 N-95 respirators, 100,000 medical surgical masks, 110,000 safety glasses, 100,000 gloves, 100,000 disposable boots and 40,000 surgical masks, the latter donated to the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock.
The adjudication process included administrative, technical and legal analysis and adjudication resolution GLR-0037-2020 of exceptional purchase N ° 2020CD-000071-5101, in accordance with article 140 of the Regulations to the Administrative Contracting Law, for the acquisition of the Air Transport Service of Goods, institutional code 0-12-01-0015.
The Logistics Manager of the CCSS, engineer Luis Porras reported that April 22 was established as the provisional date of departure of the Charter flight from the port of Shanghai, China.
The manager informed that he will only bring merchandise donated by the government of the People’s Republic of China.

Regarding the publication of the contracting process of this charter service, it will be published in the course of this Wednesday afternoon.

The good thing about the current system is that now ALL program units that publish posters or other documents on the web portal can mark them as COVID-19.
In this way, the information will be available both in TENDERS on the web portal and in TRANSPARENCY on the COVID site.
