The country registered 831 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, January 22, 651 on Saturday, January 23, 431 on Sunday, January 24, 355 on Monday, January 25, and 600 cases today, Tuesday, January 26, reaching a total of 191,345 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
Of the cases registered on Friday, 201 are by epidemiological link and 630 by laboratory, on Saturday 141 are by epidemiological link and 510 by laboratory, on Sunday 66 are by epidemiological link and 365 by laboratory, on Monday 63 are by epidemiological link and 292 by laboratory. For this Tuesday, 189 are by epidemiological link and 411 by laboratory.
In total we have 94,170 women and 97,175 men, of which 167,601 are Costa Rican and 23,744 are foreigners.
By age we have: 161,298 adults, 14,280 older adults and 15,646 minors, 121 are under investigation.
149,808 recovered persons were counted, of which 73,683 are women and 76,125 are men, by age we have: 127,833 adults, 9,362 older adults, 12,500 minors and 113 are under investigation.
488 people are hospitalized, 194 of them in intensive care with an age range of zero to 92 years.
On Friday 12 unfortunate deaths were reported, on Saturday 14, on Sunday there were 11, on Monday 15 and today Tuesday there are nine deaths, reaching a total of 2,567 deaths related to COVID-19: 970 women and 1,597 men, with a age range from two to 101 years. By age there are 800 adults, 1,763 older adults and four minors.
