The Director of Health Surveillance, Rodrigo Marín reported today at a press conference that 16 people are already recovered after having faced the COVID-19 disease.
Likewise, he detailed that as of this Sunday, April 5, 454 cases confirmed by COVID-19 are registered, with an age range of one to 87 years. There are 222 women and 232 men, of whom 423 are Costa Rican and 31 foreigners, of 13 different nationalities.
Positive cases are registered in 55 cantons of the seven provinces. By age we have: 411 adults, 28 older adults and 15 minors.
At this time 4644 people have been discarded and two unfortunate deaths are recorded.
In total there are 26 people hospitalized of which 14 of them are in intensive care with an age range of 35 to 85 years.
During the vehicle restriction this Saturday that began at 5:00 a.m. and ended at 5:00 p.m., a total of 381 parts were made for violating the provision of the Ministry of Health, 594 fines for other cases and 4 drunk drivers were caught.
Meanwhile, during the afternoon-night of this Saturday and early Sunday morning, the Ministry of Public Security reported that 308 drivers were penalized for disrespecting the sanitary vehicle restriction, in addition, 816 parts were carried out for other cases and 8 drivers were fined drunk.
