The country registered 1,187 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, September 20 and 703 cases today, Monday, September 21, reaching a total of 65,602 cases confirmed by COVID-19.
Of the cases registered on Sunday, 69 are by epidemiological link and 1,118 by laboratory. In the case of Monday, 52 are due to epidemiological link and 651 due to laboratory.
In total we have 31,146 women and 34,456 men, of whom 52,958 are Costa Rican and 12,644 are foreigners.
By age we have: 55,696 adults, 4,327 older adults and 5,459 minors, 120 are under investigation.
25,127 recovered persons were counted, of which 11,849 are women and 13,278 are men, by age we have: 21,322 adults, 1,324 older adults, 2,413 minors and 68 are under investigation
634 people are hospitalized, 254 of them in intensive care with an age range of 1 to 91 years.
On Sunday 21 unfortunate deaths were reported and today 18 are reported, reaching a total of 745 deaths related to COVID-19: 283 women and 462 men, with an age range of 19 to 100 years. By age there are 241 adults and 504 older adults.
