As of September 1, the country registers 897 new cases of COVID-19, of which 224 are by epidemiological link and 673 by laboratory, for a total of 42,184 confirmed cases, with an age range of zero to 100 years. There are 19,705 women and 22,479 men, of whom 32,574 are Costa Ricans and 9,610 are foreigners.
By age we have: 35,522 adults, 2,722 older adults and 3,757 minors, 183 are under investigation.
There are 16,270 recovered people, of which 7,471 are women and 8,799 are men, by age we have: 13,586 adults, 862 older adults, 1,737 minors and 85 are under investigation
448 people are hospitalized, 149 of them in intensive care with an age range of 11 to 83 years.
For today, seven regrettable deaths are reported: four men, and three women, with an age range of 45 to 95 years.
In total, there are 443 deaths related to COVID-19: 172 women and 271 men, with an age range of 19 to 100 years. By age there are 153 adults and 290 older adults.
