Covid status October 9, Costa Rica surpasses China in number of reported cases.

As of October 9, the country registers 1,225 new cases of COVID-19, of which 322 are by epidemiological link and 903 by laboratory, for a total of 86,053 confirmed cases, with an age range of zero to 100 years. There are 41,298 women and 44,755 men, of which 71,207 are Costa Rican and 14,846 are foreigners.

By age we have: 73,081 adults, 5,830 older adults and 7,057 minors, 85 are under investigation.

There are 52,327 people recovered, of which 24,947 are women and 27,380 are men, by age we have: 44,774 adults, 2,953 older adults, 4,528 minors and 72 are under investigation.

566 people are hospitalized, 197 of them in intensive care with an age range of one to 89 years.

For today 15 unfortunate deaths are reported: 11 men, and four women, with an age range of 36 to 90 years.

In total, 1,055 deaths related to COVID-19 are counted: 396 women and 659 men, with an age range of 18 to 100 years. By age there are 353 adults and 702 older adults.
