The country registered 1,225 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, October 4, and 722 cases today, Monday, October 5, reaching a total of 81,129 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

Of the cases registered on Sunday, 56 are by epidemiological link and 1,169 by laboratory. In the case of Monday, 54 are due to epidemiological link and 668 due to laboratory.

In total we have 38,843 women and 42,286 men, of whom 66,736 are Costa Ricans and 14,393 are foreigners. By age we have: 68,909 adults, 5,461 older adults and 6,640 minors, 119 are under investigation.

There are 49,703 recovered people, of which 23,585 are women and 26,118 are men, by age we have: 42,474 adults, 2,798 older adults, 4,326 minors and 105 are under investigation. In this way, there is an update of 100% of recovered as of September 1.

570 people are hospitalized, 212 of them in intensive care with an age range of 1 to 89 years.

On Sunday 21 unfortunate deaths were reported and today 16 are reported, reaching a total of 987 deaths related to COVID-19: 374 women and 613 men, with an age range of 18 to 100 years. By age there are 324 adults and 663 older adults.
