As of May 23, seven new cases of COVID-19 are registered, for a total of 918 confirmed cases, with an age range of zero to 87 years. There are 425 women and 493 men, of whom 757 are Costa Ricans and 161 are foreigners.
The number of carriers who were not authorized to enter Costa Rica for having a positive result in the COVID-19 test, remains at 46. Positive cases are recorded in 70 cantons. By age we have: 811 adults, 49 older adults and 58 minors.
There are 607 people recovered in 61 cantons, with an age range of one to 86 years, of whom 294 are women and 313 are men, by age we have: 548 adults, 30 older adults and 29 minors.
At this moment 15,093 people have been discarded.
There are 10 regrettable deaths, one woman and nine men with an age range of 45 to 87 years.
15 people are hospitalized, four of them are in intensive care with an age range of 27 to 66 years.
To date, a total of 22,910 samples have been processed.
