As of May 22, eight new cases of COVID-19 are registered, for a total of 911 confirmed cases, with an age range of zero to 87 years. There are 421 women and 490 men, of whom 751 are Costa Rican and 160 foreigners.
The number of carriers who were not authorized to enter Costa Rica for having a positive result in the COVID-19 test, remains at 46. Positive cases are counted in 70 cantons, adding Los Chiles and Sarapiquí. By age we have: 807 adults, 48 older adults and 56 minors.
There are 600 people recovered in 61 cantons, with an age range of one to 86 years, of which 292 are women and 308 are men, by age we have: 541 adults, 30 older adults and 29 minors.
At this time, 14,865 people have been discarded.
There are 10 regrettable deaths, one woman and nine men with an age range of 45 to 87 years. 14 people are hospitalized, four of them are in intensive care with an age range of 37 to 66 years.
To date, a total of 22,554 samples have been processed.
