As of May 20, 15 new cases of COVID-19 are registered, for a total of 897 confirmed cases, with an age range of zero to 87 years. There are 414 women and 483 men, of whom 742 are Costa Rican and 155 foreigners.
The number of carriers who were not authorized to enter Costa Rica for having a positive result in the COVID-19 test, went from 50 to 46, given that four cases were not received by Nicaragua, as they came from other nationalities and were they had to locate in the isolation center in national territory.
Positive cases are counted in 68 cantons. By age we have: 797 adults, 45 seniors and 55 minors. There are 582 people recovered in 59 cantons, with an age range of one to 86 years, of whom 282 are women and 300 are men, by age we have: 524 adults, 30 older adults and 28 minors.
At this time 14,225 people have been discarded.
There are 10 regrettable deaths, one woman and nine men with an age range of 45 to 87 years. 13 people are hospitalized, five of them are in intensive care with an age range of 55 to 76 years.
To date, a total of 21,299 samples have been processed.
