As of May 2, eight new cases of COVID-19 are registered, for a total of 733 confirmed cases, with an age range of one to 87 years. There are 351 women and 382 men, of whom 657 are Costa Rican and 76 foreigners.

Positive cases are recorded in 62 cantons of the seven provinces. By age we have: 655 adults, 38 older adults and 40 minors.

There are 372 people recovered in 52 cantons, with an age range of one to 86 years, of whom 182 are women and 190 are men, by age we have: 337 adults, 20 older adults and 15 minors.

At this time, 8,932 people have been discarded.

There are six regrettable deaths, all men with an age range of 45 to 87 years.

16 people are hospitalized, six of them are in intensive care with an age range of 57 to 75 years.

To date, a total of 13,632 samples have been processed.
