As of May 10, 12 new cases of COVID-19 are registered, for a total of 792 confirmed cases, with an age range of one to 87 years. There are 369 women and 423 men, of whom 686 are Costa Ricans and 106 foreigners.
Positive cases are counted in 68 cantons, adding Quepos and Upala to the list of cantons with positive cases by COVID-19. By age we have: 709 adults, 41 older adults and 42 minors.
There are 501 people recovered in 58 cantons, with an age range of one to 86 years, of which 243 are women and 258 are men, by age we have: 451 adults, 26 older adults and 24 minors. Paraíso joins the cantons with recovered cases.
At this time 11,148 people have been discarded.
There are six regrettable deaths, all men with an age range of 45 to 87 years.
21 people are hospitalized, six of them are in intensive care with an age range of 53 to 75 years.
To date, a total of 17,170 samples have been processed.
The Minister of Health, Daniel Salas also reported that all the flights that enter Costa Rica with returnees will only enter through the Juan Santamaría Airport, for better sanitary control.
