As of May 1, six new cases of COVID-19 are registered, for a total of 725 confirmed cases, with an age range of one to 87 years. There are 346 women and 379 men, of whom 651 are Costa Ricans and 74 foreigners.

Positive cases are counted in 62 cantons of the seven provinces, Golfito being added to the list of cantons with positive cases by COVID-19. By age we have: 649 adults, 38 seniors and 38 minors.

There are 355 people recovered in 52 cantons, with an age range of one to 86 years, of which 174 are women and 181 are men, by age we have: 320 adults, 20 older adults and 15 minors.

At this time 8,849 people have been discarded.

There are six regrettable deaths, all men with an age range of 45 to 87 years.

16 people are hospitalized, of which seven of them are in intensive care with an age range of 57 to 75 years.

To date, a total of 13,529 samples have been processed.
