As of October 8, the country registers 1,331 new cases of COVID-19, of which 339 are by epidemiological link and 992 by laboratory, for a total of 84,828 confirmed cases, with an age range of zero to 100 years. There are 40,690 women and 44,138 men, of which 70,093 are Costa Rican and 14,735 are foreigners.
By age we have: 72,050 adults, 5,741 older adults and 6,952 minors, 85 are under investigation.
There are 51,782 recovered persons, of which 24,673 are women and 27,109 are men, by age we have: 44,303 adults, 2,913 older adults, 4,494 minors and 72 are under investigation.
568 people are hospitalized, 197 of them in intensive care with an age range of one to 89 years.
For today 16 unfortunate deaths are reported: 11 men, and five women, with an age range of 48 to 91 years.
In total, 1040 deaths related to COVID-19 are counted: 392 women and 648 men, with an age range of 18 to 100 years. By age there are 345 adults and 695 older adults.
