As of July 12, the country registers 365 new cases of COVID-19, for a total of 7,596 confirmed cases, with an age range of zero to 96 years. It is 3273 women and 4323 men, of which 5353 are Costa Rican and 2243 are foreigners.
Positive cases are counted in 80 cantons. By age we have: 6153 adults, 359 older adults and 995 minors, 89 are under investigation.
There are 2,239 people recovered in 79 cantons. The recovered cases have an age range of zero to 94 years, of which 994 are women and 1245 are men, by age we have: 1746 adults, 97 older adults, 336 minors and 60 are under investigation.
140 people are hospitalized, 27 of them in intensive care with an age range of zero to 82 years.
There are 30 regrettable deaths, 12 women and 18 men with an age range of 26 to 92 years. The country registered yesterday at night hours the death number 29 of a COVID-19 patient, a 50-year-old man, a foreigner, a resident of San José.
The death occurred at the San Juan de Dios Hospital, where he had been hospitalized since July 9 and was diagnosed with COVID-19 on July 4. The deceased had arterial hypertension, chronic kidney disease and secondary hyperparathyroidism as a risk factor.
The death is added to the 28 regrettable deaths already registered: 12 women and 16 men with an age range of 26 to 92 years.
