As of August 3, the country registers 427 new cases of COVID-19, for a total of 19,402 confirmed cases, with an age range of zero to 100 years. It is 8830 women and 10 572 men, of which 14 113 are Costa Rican and 5289 are foreigners.
Positive cases are counted in 81 cantons. By age we have: 15 981 adults, 1212 older adults and 2089 minors, 120 are under investigation.
There are 4689 people recovered in 79 cantons. The recovered cases have an age range of zero to 96 years, of which 2071 are women and 2618 are men, by age we have: 3780 adults, 209 older adults, 646 minors and 54 are under investigation.
393 people are hospitalized, 97 of them in intensive care with an age range of 14 to 91 years.
For today, nine regrettable deaths are reported: four men, and five women, with an age range of 47 to 81 years, from San José and Cartago.
In total there are 171 deaths: 63 women and 108 men, with an age range of 23 to 99 years.
