As of August 26, the country registers 1002 new cases of COVID-19, of which 202 are by epidemiological link and 800 by laboratory, for a total of 36,307 confirmed cases, with an age range of zero to 100 years. There are 16,878 women and 19,429 men, of whom 27,624 are Costa Rican and 8,683 are foreigners.
By age we have: 30,566 adults, 2,300 older adults and 3,273 minors, 168 are under investigation.
There are 13,317 people recovered in 81 cantons. The recovered cases have an age range of zero to 99 years, of which 6,042 are women and 7,275 are men, by age we have: 10,996 adults, 703 older adults, 1,548 minors and 70 are under investigation.
400 people are hospitalized, 143 of them in intensive care with an age range of one to 92 years.
For today 10 regrettable deaths are reported: five men, and five women, with an age range of 63 to 86 years.
In total, 386 deaths related to COVID-19 are counted: 149 women and 237 men, with an age range of 21 to 100 years. By age there are 133 adults and 253 older adults.
