As of August 25, the country registers 842 new cases of COVID-19, of which 240 are by epidemiological link and 602 by laboratory, for a total of 35,305 confirmed cases, with an age range of zero to 100 years. There are 16,411 women and 18,894 men, of which 26,794 are Costa Rican and 8,511 are foreigners.
By age we have: 29,705 adults, 2,213 older adults and 3,224 minors, 163 are under investigation.
13,073 people recovered in 81 cantons were counted. The recovered cases have an age range from zero to 99 years, of which 5,920 are women and 7,153 are men, by age we have: 10,775 adults, 695 older adults, 1,536 minors and 67 are under investigation.
412 people are hospitalized, 144 of them in intensive care with an age range of zero to 92 years.
For today 14 unfortunate deaths are reported: seven men, and seven women, with an age range of 55 to 94 years.
In total there are 376 deaths related to COVID-19: 144 women and 232 men, with an age range of 21 to 100 years. By age there are 130 adults and 246 older adults.
The father of the Minister of Health Daniel Salas tests positive for the virus. Daniel Salas will be in quarantine in his house until September 7.
