As of August 13, the country registers 826 new cases of COVID-19, of which 168 are by epidemiological link and 658 by laboratory, for a total of 26,129 confirmed cases, with an age range of zero to 100 years. There are 12,021 women and 14,108 men, of whom 19,343 are Costa Rican and 6,786 are foreigners.
It is important to indicate that the CCSS today reports 246 additional cases per nexus, which are accumulated from Monday to date, which will be updated in the statistics of the Ministry of Health, according to the corresponding day.
Positive cases are counted in 82 cantons. By age we have: 21,759 adults, 1,663 older adults and 2,544 minors, 163 are under investigation.
8,412 recovered people are registered in 80 cantons. The recovered cases have an age range from zero to 96 years, of which 3,757 are women and 4,655 are men, by age we have: 6,860 adults, 380 older adults, 1,099 minors, and 73 are under investigation.
369 people are hospitalized, 95 of them in intensive care with an age range of 30 to 85 years.
For today nine regrettable deaths are reported: six men, and three women, with an age range of 53 to 88 years.
In total, there are 272 deaths related to COVID-19: 99 women and 173 men, with an age range of 23 to 100 years.
