As of May 15, 13 new cases of COVID-19 are registered, for a total of 843 confirmed cases, with an age range of zero to 87 years. There are 384 women and 459 men, of whom 712 are Costa Rican and 131 foreigners.
Likewise, there are eight new cases of carriers that were not authorized to enter Costa Rica because they had a positive result in the COVID-19 test, reaching a total of 31 carriers.
Positive cases are recorded in 69 cantons. By age we have: 751 adults, 43 older adults and 49 minors. There are 542 people recovered in 59 cantons, with an age range of one to 86 years, of which 263 are women and 279 are men, by age we have: 488 adults, 27 older adults and 27 minors.
At this time 12,260 people have been discarded.
Eight regrettable deaths are recorded, all men with an age range of 45 to 87 years.
18 people are hospitalized, five of them are in intensive care with an age range of 53 to 75 years.
To date, a total of 18,655 samples have been processed.
