Country adds 528 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, 455 on Thursday and 446 today Friday: 196,438 total COVID-19 cases

The country recorded 528 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday 03 February, 455 on Thursday 04 February and 446 cases today, Friday 05 February, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 196,438.

Of the cases registered on Wednesday 107 are by epidemiological link and 421 by laboratory, on Thursday 94 are by epidemiological link and 361 by laboratory. On Friday, 125 cases were reported by epidemiological link and 321 by laboratory.



In total we have 96,747 women and 99,691 men, of whom 172,158 are Costa Ricans and 24,280 are foreigners.

By age we have: 165,513 adults, 14,745 older adults and 16,074 minors, 106 are under investigation.

A total of 156,181 people have been recovered, of whom 76,905 are women and 79,276 are men. By age: 133,222 adults, 9,829 older adults, 13,029 minors and 101 are under investigation.

364 people are hospitalised, 164 of them in intensive care, ranging in age from zero to 94 years.

On Wednesday, nine unfortunate deaths were reported, on Thursday there were 12 and today, Friday, there are 10 deaths, bringing the total number of COVID-19-related deaths to 2,672: 1,005 women and 1,667 men, ranging in age from two to 101 years. By age, there are 835 adults, 1,833 older adults and four minors.
