Costa Rica reaches 200,000 positive cases of Covid. Cases maintain a downward trend

The country registered 390 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, February 13, 265 on Sunday, February 14, 182 on Monday, February 15, and 430 cases today, Tuesday, February 16, reaching a total of 200,454 cases confirmed by COVID-19. .

Of the cases registered on Saturday 117 are due to epidemiological link and 273 are due to laboratory, on Sunday 31 they are due to epidemiological link and 234 are due to laboratory, on Monday 31 they are due to epidemiological link and 151 are due to laboratory. For this Tuesday, 111 are by epidemiological link and 319 by laboratory.

In total we have 98,775 women and 101,679 men, of which 175,665 are Costa Rican and 24,789 are foreigners.

By age we have: 168,755 adults, 15,145 older adults and 16,449 minors, 105 are under investigation.

There are 165,439 recovered people, of which 81,548 are women and 83,891 are men, by age we have: 141,039 adults, 10,498 older adults, 13,801 minors and 101 are under investigation. 343 people are hospitalized, 170 of them in intensive care with an age range of 20 to 96 years.

Five unfortunate deaths were reported on Saturday, four were recorded on Sunday, seven on Monday, and seven deaths on Tuesday, reaching a total of 2,737 deaths related to COVID-19: 1,027 women and 1,710 men, with an age range of two to 101 years. By age there are 847 adults, 1,886 older adults and four minors.
