Grupo Heroica operator of the Costa Rica Convention Center (CCCR) will certify the operations of all its venues, including the CCCR, under the “Safe Guard” seal to ensure compliance with the new security measures derived from the COVID-19 pandemic in the events sector.

This important certification will be in charge of the international entity Bureau Veritas, who are world leaders in verification, inspection and certification, which in late 2019 also gave this venue the ISO 9001 – 2015 badge.

During these months, the CCCR has developed health security protocols that cover areas such as access to the premises, control of suppliers, assemblies, food and beverages, audiovisual equipment, parking, among others, with the aim of guaranteeing control to all attendees in all interaction areas.

Alvaro Rojas, General Manager of this property, expressed: “This certification and the sharpness with which it is being implemented is part of the commitment we have with our clients, with the ICT and with the country to continue having a venue recognized for its world quality and with all the necessary measures for the new event modalities. ”

This certification is actively in the implementation stage and covers the three main areas of action, that is: people (whether they are organizers, staff or visitors), processes and facilities and is awarded to establishments that meet the established requirements, guaranteeing the monitoring of disinfection and cleaning protocols, and the implementation of pertinent security measures.

“Through a holistic vision, we will implement all the measures that allow us to offer our clients and visitors safe and controlled spaces to carry out their events. All within the framework of a quality management system and validated by an international entity with the widest track record and recognition, such as Bureau Veritas, ”said Juliana Lopez, President of Grupo Heroica

At the same time, Gustavo Alvarado, Director of Tourism Management of the ICT, showed his support for this great advance. “Having this label undoubtedly strengthens the efforts made since its opening focused on being a sustainable venue capable of adapting to needs and contexts current, adding elements of health security to host future events and further strengthening the protocols developed by the ICT based on the guidelines of the Ministry of Health, this to provide an atmosphere of much greater security to those who carry out their activities in this property “

In parallel to the above and with the aim of supporting the organizers of events in the country, the CCCR will be offering free trainings from the first week of July, under virtual modality, on the considerations to be taken for these new modalities of events.

This important step strengthens the proposed vision of Costa Rica having a venue for world-class events that seeks to be a benchmark in Latin America for the three strategic axes: service excellence, operational efficiency, sustainability.
