On Sunday, October 4 at 7 pm Carlos Alvarado went to the country in the midst of the economic crisis caused by the disorder of public finances in the country and aggravated by the Covid 19 pandemic. In the message, Alvarado called late for multisectoral dialogue and says withdraw the disastrous proposal to the IMF that consisted of an aggressive tax package.

However, the message was not well received by the groups that maintain blockades and demonstrate in different sectors of the country. Unions have called for a national strike, while the leaders and organizers of the demonstration have declared that Alvarado’s message is “ambiguous and inconclusive.”
