After the worrying news of an older adult, staying at the Carlos Maria Ulloa nursing home and who was treated at the Calderón Guardia Hospital for low blood oxygenation, the health authorities carried out 359 tests on the institution’s population. On April 30 these tests are negative for covid-19.

The Carlos Maria Ulloa Nursing Home has more than 144 years serving as a retirement home and care center for the country’s elderly population. And it turns out to be an icon, cultural and historical for Costa Rica. The administration takes the opportunity to request patience and understanding from the relatives of the elderly living in the home, since there are still strict protection protocols in order to care for the elderly in the institution.
