The country registered 1,035 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, January 9, 756 on Sunday, January 10, 656 on Monday, January 11, and 1,032 cases on Tuesday, January 12, reaching a total of 181,093 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
Of the cases registered on Saturday, 234 are by epidemiological link and 801 by laboratory, on Sunday 98 are by epidemiological link and 658 by laboratory, on Monday 108 are by epidemiological link and 548 by laboratory. For this Tuesday 246 are by epidemiological link and 786 by laboratory.
In total we have 89,040 women and 92,053 men, of whom 158,194 are Costa Rican and 22,899 are foreigners. By age we have: 152,823 adults, 13,389 older adults and 14,758 minors, 123 are under investigation.
139,297 recovered persons were counted, of which 68,216 are women and 71,081 are men, by age we have: 118,891 adults, 8,620 older adults, 11,670 minors and 116 are under investigation.
596 people are hospitalized, 247 of them in intensive care with an age range of zero to 93 years.
On Saturday 17 unfortunate deaths were reported, on Sunday 16, Monday 15 and today Tuesday 14 deaths were registered, reaching a total of 2,367 deaths related to COVID-19: 891 women and 1,476 men, with an age range of two to 101 years. By age there are 739 adults, 1,625 older adults and three minors.
