Costa Rican artist Debi Nova won the award for Best Recording Engineering for an Album. The engineering award was shared with Daniel Bitrán Arizpe, Daniel Dávila, Justin Moshkevich, George Noriega, Erick Roman, Paul Rubinstein & JC Vertti, engineers; Miles Comaskey, Najeeb Jones & Tony Maserati, mixers; Dale Becker, mastering engineer.

Debi Nova is a Costa Rican artist, she has worked with artists such as Sean Paul (on the song “International Affair”, from the Dutty Rock album), Sérgio Mendes, Black Eyed Peas, Mark Ronson, Belinda, RBD and Ricky Martin, who invited her to participate in his video “Qué más da” .2 Recently, he wrote a song for the last album of the Mexican band RBD, called Camino al Sol. He also participated in the secondary voices of “Lace and Leather”, a theme included on the album of the American singer Britney Spears Circus.

In 2004, she became the first Costa Rican to reach number one on the Billboard dance music chart with the song “One Rhythm.”

She began taking piano lessons at the age of four. Later, she directed a musical band in Costa Rica, which had the support of fans throughout this nation. Singer-songwriter since she was 14 years old and multi-instrumentalist. At age 17, she made the decision to move to Los Angeles, California, where she continued her studies at the University of California (UCLA) and signed her first record deal. She currently lives in San José.
