As of October 1, the country registers 1,068 new cases of COVID-19, of which 274 are by epidemiological link and 794 by laboratory, for a total of 76,828 confirmed cases, with an age range of zero to 100 years. There are 36,678 women and 40,150 men, of which 62,884 are Costa Rican and 13,944 are foreigners.
By age we have: 65,218 adults, 5,133 older adults and 6,359 minors, 118 are under investigation.
39,843 recovered persons are counted, of which 18,869 are women and 20,974 are men, by age we have: 33,979 adults, 2,229 older adults, 3,541 minors and 94 are under investigation.
572 people are hospitalized, 221 of them in intensive care with an age range of one to 93 years.
For today 13 regrettable deaths are reported: nine men, and four women, with an age range of 42 to 97 years.
In total, there are 917 deaths related to COVID-19: 350 women and 567 men, with an age range of 19 to 100 years. By age there are 295 adults and 622 older adults.
