This Wednesday, September 9, the controlled reopening phase begins throughout the country, so the authorities remind citizens of the importance to citizens of taking care of themselves and following compliance with the protocols within the establishments.
This was indicated by the Minister of Health, Daniel Salas, and the president of the National Emergency Commission (CNE), Alexander Solís, at a press conference.
The Ministry of Health informed the Episcopal Conference of Costa Rica and the Costa Rican Evangelical Alliance Federation on Tuesday afternoon that, upon request to increase the capacity of worship centers, they will be allowed a maximum capacity of 125 people and a limit of 10 people as a support team for the work.
Establishments that have a sanitary operating permit that serve the public may operate from Monday to Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and from Saturday to Sunday from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. 8:00 pm, respecting fifty percent (50%) of its maximum capacity.
On the other hand, there are establishments with differentiated capacity such as:
- Self-service mode to the public, understood as the withdrawal of products remaining inside the vehicle.
- Mode of withdrawal of food in establishment to take away.
- Cinemas and theaters with mandatory use of a mask or face shield, with seating separation measures of at least 1.8 meters, respecting social bubbles and with a ticket office or electronic reservation.
- Drive-in movie theater.
- The event rooms for business or academic activities can work with a maximum of 75 people and the rest of the event rooms for activities such as baby showers and weddings, can work with a maximum of 30 people.
- Among others.
As of this Wednesday, September 9, the use of a mask will be mandatory throughout the country when access is required to establishments with a health operating permit.
Likewise, it is indicated that the use of a mask or face shield may be used as a complement to the mandatory use of the mask as personal protective equipment.
And finally, the closure of very high-risk activities, such as mass concentration events, bars, casinos, spas, among others, is maintained.
