As of September 5, the country registers 1,240 new cases of COVID-19, of which 225 are by epidemiological link and 1015 by laboratory, for a total of 46,920 confirmed cases, with an age range of zero to 100 years. There are 22,063 women and 24,857 men, of whom 36,597 are Costa Rican and 10,323 are foreigners.
By age we have: 39,646 adults, 3,014 older adults and 4,127 minors, 133 are under investigation.
There are 18,211 recovered people, of which 8,407 are women and 9,804 are men, by age we have: 15,304 adults, 963 older adults, 1,884 minors and 60 are under investigation.
471 people are hospitalized, 210 of them in intensive care with an age range of 24 to 91 years.
For today nine regrettable deaths are reported: seven men, and two women, with an age range of 49 to 78 years.
In total there are 478 deaths related to COVID-19: 179 women and 299 men, with an age range of 19 to 100 years. By age there are 165 adults and 313 older adults.
