In the framework of the 50th anniversary of the creation of the National Park System, President Carlos Alvarado sanctioned two legislatures this Monday that aim to reactivate the economy and address the emergency caused by COVID-19 in the Central Pacific Region.

The second legislation signed by the head of Government was the signing of the reform of Law No. 5100 -which declares the Playas de Manuel Antonio National Recreational Park- and Law No. 8133, which authorizes MINAE to have specific resources to invest in the acquisition of goods and services, as well as personnel, development and maintenance of the infrastructure necessary for the management of the Park.
