Product of the information update work carried out at the local levels of the Ministry of Health, for today 2,240 people recovered from COVID-19 are registered, giving a total of 12,758, of which 1,188 correspond to the canton of San José.
81 cantons are counted with recovered cases of COVID-19, adding León Cortés. The recovered cases have an age range of zero to 99 years, of which 5,786 are women and 6,972 are men, by age we have: 10,504 adults, 675 older adults, 1,514 minors and 65 are under investigation.
As of August 24, the country registers 643 new cases of COVID-19, of which 68 are by epidemiological link and 575 by laboratory, for a total of 34,463 confirmed cases, with an age range of zero to 100 years. There are 15,988 women and 18,475 men, of whom 26,070 are Costa Rican and 8,393 are foreigners.
By age we have: 29,010 adults, 2,162 older adults and 3,129 minors, 162 are under investigation.
414 people are hospitalized, 143 of them in intensive care with an age range of zero to 94 years.
For today seven unfortunate deaths are reported: three men, and four women, with an age range of 42 to 90 years.
In total, 362 deaths related to COVID-19 are counted: 137 women and 225 men, with an age range of 21 to 100 years. By age there are 125 adults and 237 older adults.
