As of August 14, the country registers 802 new cases of COVID-19, of which 136 are by epidemiological link and 666 by laboratory, for a total of 26,931 confirmed cases, with an age range of zero to 100 years. There are 12,416 women and 14,515 men, of whom 19,964 are Costa Rican and 6,967 are foreigners.
Positive cases are counted in 82 cantons. By age we have: 22,459 adults, 1704 older adults and 2604 minors, 164 are under investigation.
8785 recovered persons are registered in 80 cantons. The recovered cases have an age range from zero to 96 years, of which 3936 are women and 4849 are men, by age we have: 7164 adults, 397 older adults, 1148 minors and 76 are under investigation.
373 people are hospitalized, 99 of them in intensive care with an age range of 12 to 85 years.
For today nine regrettable deaths are reported: six men, and three women, with an age range of 39 to 92 years.
In total there are 281 deaths related to COVID-19: 102 women and 179 men, with an age range of 23 to 100 years.
