As of August 1, the country registers 367 new cases of COVID-19, for a total of 18,187 confirmed cases, with an age range of zero to 100 years. There are 8268 women and 9919 men, of which 13 166 are Costa Rican and 5021 are foreigners.
Positive cases are counted in 81 cantons. By age we have: 14,940 adults, 1,128 older adults and 2001 minors, 118 are under investigation.
4531 recovered people are registered in 79 cantons. The recovered cases have an age range of zero to 96 years, of which 1995 are women and 2536 are men, by age we have: 3645 adults, 204 older adults, 628 minors and 54 are under investigation.
346 people are hospitalized, 94 of them in intensive care with an age range of 24 to 91 years.
For today, four regrettable deaths are reported: three men, and one woman, with an age range of 64 to 89 years, from San José, Alajuela and Heredia.
Among the most common risk factors presented by these people are: high blood pressure, diabetes and chronic kidney disease. The deaths were recorded in the Mexico, Calderón Guardia and CEACO hospitals.
In total, 154 deaths are recorded: 57 women and 97 men, with an age range of 23 to 99 years.
