As of July 31, the country registers 530 new cases of COVID-19, for a total of 17 820 confirmed cases, with an age range of zero to 100 years. There are 8,106 women and 9,714 men, of whom 12,899 are Costa Rican and 4,921 are foreigners.
Positive cases are counted in 81 cantons. By age we have: 14 608 adults, 1105 older adults and 1989 minors, 118 are under investigation.
There are 4404 people recovered in 79 cantons. The recovered cases have an age range of zero to 96 years, of which 1935 are women and 2469 are men, by age we have: 3540 adults, 195 older adults, 615 minors and 54 are under investigation.
345 people are hospitalized, 75 of them in intensive care with an age range of zero to 96 years.
For today, 10 regrettable deaths are reported: seven men, and three women, with an age range of 52 to 96 years, from San José, Alajuela and Heredia.
Among the most common risk factors presented by these people are: high blood pressure, diabetes and obesity. The deaths were recorded in the hospitals México, Calderón Guardia, San Juan de Dios, CEACO and San Rafael de Alajuela.
In total there are 150 deaths: 56 women and 94 men, with an age range of 23 to 99 years.
