As of July 29, the country registers 456 new cases of COVID-19, for a total of 16,800 confirmed cases, with an age range of zero to 100 years. It is 7665 women and 9135 men, of which 12 136 are Costa Rican and 4664 are foreigners.
Positive cases are counted in 81 cantons. By age we have: 13 689 adults, 1039 older adults and 1940 minors, 132 are under investigation.
4050 recovered people are registered in 79 cantons. The recovered cases have an age range of zero to 96 years, of which 1781 are women and 2269 are men, by age we have: 3228 adults, 175 older adults, 578 minors and 69 are under investigation.
334 people are hospitalized, 75 of them in intensive care with an age range of zero to 96 years.
For today, eight regrettable deaths are reported: five men, and three women, with an age range of 56 to 86 years, from the provinces of San José, Cartago and Alajuela.
Among the most common risk factors presented by these people are: high blood pressure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetes, obesity, and smoking. The deaths were recorded in the San Juan de Dios, Calderón Guardia, Hospital México and CEACO hospitals.
In total 133 deaths are counted: 50 women and 83 men, with an age range of 23 to 99 years.
