As of July 11, the country registers 386 new cases of COVID-19, for a total of 7,231 confirmed cases, with an age range of zero to 96 years. There are 3105 women and 4126 men, of whom 5109 are Costa Rican and 2122 are foreigners.
Positive cases are counted in 80 cantons. By age we have: 5846 adults, 342 older adults and 953 minors, 90 are under investigation.
There are 2,220 people recovered in 79 cantons. The recovered cases have an age range of zero to 94 years, of which 988 are women and 1232 are men, by age we have: 1730 adults, 96 older adults, 335 minors and 59 are under investigation.
There are 28 regrettable deaths, 12 women and 16 men with an age range of 26 to 92 years. 132 people are hospitalized, 22 of them in intensive care with an age range of 24 to 82 years.
The country this morning recorded the death number 28 of a COVID-19 patient, a 41-year-old woman, a foreigner. The death occurred at the San Juan de Dios Hospital, where she had been hospitalized since July 10 and was diagnosed with COVID-19 that same day.
The deceased had arterial hypertension and an inflammation in her heart, called myocarditis, as a risk factor.
The death is added to the 27 regrettable deaths already registered: 11 women and 16 men with an age range of 26 to 92 years. There was no communication with the family of the deceased person since there is no family record in the EDUS.
